- Free-spirited Akiko (Tokiwa Takako) marries her kindred soul, a man who has spent much of his life in Russia. Although now in her 30's, Akiko wants to have children and soon gets her wish... only to discover soon afterwards that she has developed cancer. Putting her child's life first, much to the consternation of her mother, Akiko decides to have her daughter and then tackle the cancer. While she fights it, however, Akiko slowly finds herself creating a book for her daughter Yuria... just in case the worst comes...
